Job Title: Sales Support Assistant

Department: Direct Mortgages

Reports to: Resource & Management Information Manager

Main purpose of job

To process all Direct Mortgage applications within agreed service standards whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all aspect of work. To provide a high quality friendly and efficient telephone service to customers, maximising on income potential and lead generation.

Key Accountabilities

  • To open all post promptly and update all relevant business areas.
  • To process applications for Direct Mortgage customers using either paper or electronic applications.
  • To deal with all customer queries efficiently at the same time promoting the benefits of mutuality by portraying a friendly, helpful and professional manner
  • To process all customer correspondence within given timescales
  • To ensure that any follow up action is taken and recorded
  • To keep up to date with all products and procedures, having all information to hand for ease of access
  • To maximise on opportunities for income where possible on inbound and outbound calls and for on-line mortgage applications
  • To work effectively within the team for the benefit of self and others, sharing best practice and knowledge
  • To ensure that an equally high level of service is offered to colleagues based in both Leeds and Silverlink (Direct mortgages)
  • To work effectively with other business areas to resolve issues and enhance relationship
  • To conform to and ensure compliance with all professional associations and regulatory bodies
  • To respond to change in a positive manner and give any necessary feedback constructively
  • To carry out ad-hoc tasks and duties requested by your line manager
  • To scan, package and despatch Mortgage applications and Homeowner loans to customers on a daily basis
  • To maintain spreadsheets on a daily basis for management information purposes
  • All Society employees are required to pay due regard to the interests of its customers and treat them fairly
