Could You be Me?: There are 900 people at Leeds Building Society. All from different backgrounds, of varying ages and all with different aspirations. Here is a profile from one of our members of staff.
Jenny works in the Norwich Branch of Leeds Building Society and has been with us since June 1999. She started her career as a Customer Service Advisor in the branch serving customers and providing advice on the wide range of Leeds Building Society products that could benefit them. Jenny naturally took to the role and she was appointed as a Senior Customer Service Advisor in December 1999. Jenny is now the Assistant Manager of the Norwich Branch and it is her job to assist the Branch Manager to run the branch and the team. She often deputises for the Branch Manager whenever they are away. In order to help her with her career, Leeds Building Society has sponsored Jenny through many courses for her development. As well as the various training on the products that we offer, she has been on management courses such as “Coaching for Excellence”, “How to run an effective training session” and training on how to carry out effective performance reviews. Jenny is also currently following an Introductory Certificate for Team Leading training program. These courses have enabled her to develop her skills as a people manager within the Society. Jenny says, “Leeds Building Society are fully committed to their staff. I have been supported throughout my career progression and the training opportunities have been endless.
