Could You be Me?: There are 900 people at Leeds Building Society. All from different backgrounds, of varying ages and all with different aspirations. Here is a profile from one of our members of staff.
Kim started with the Leeds Building Society on the 2nd January 2000 as a Direct Operations Advisor in the call centre. Prior to joining us, Kim had never worked in Financial Services or a Call Centre, so this was a new and challenging role for her. She received full training and after a year with the Society was promoted to a Senior which meant she had more responsibility to look after the team. In 2002 she was promoted to Call Centre Coach. This role was ideal for Kim as she could use all the knowledge and experience she had learnt to help to coach and support others to meet their targets. Following this, in January 2005 she was promoted to Direct Operations Team Leader and she now has the responsibility of running and managing a team. Kim has been on many courses and was also the recipient of the Society’s annual Gold Award for Excellence in Action in 2004. As a result she won a holiday to Florida, a weekend break in London and a course of driving lessons!
