There are 900 people at Leeds Building Society. All from different backgrounds, of varying ages and all with different aspirations. Here is a profile from one of our members of staff.

Name: Tom Brannigan Position: Mortgage Lending Support Team Leader Location: Mortgage Lending, Leeds Head Office

Tom started with Leeds Building Society in July 1978 as an Office Junior in the Investments Department since then he has progressed through a series of different roles and has worked in Mortgage Department and Collections and even as a Mortgage Counsellor working from home. Tom is currently the Team Leader in the Lending Support team, in which Tom was instrumental in setting up. On a daily basis Tom liaises with Customers, Solicitors and Branches regarding a wide variety of Mortgage related queries. He is also responsible for the development and training of all his team.

In addition Tom is the Chairman of the Staff Association and supports it’s membership in negotiations with the Society in all matters affecting their employment.

Tom says:

“During my 25 years with the Society I have had lots of opportunities to work in a number of departments and to develop my career which has kept my job really fresh and interesting”

" I would always recommend the Society as an employer and indeed my daughter has recently joined the Society after leaving Bradford College".
